- What does AFL acquiring TCC Group mean to me as a customer?
Only good things! AFL and TCC Group together provide you with a global portfolio of products and experience. TCC Group’s experience in designing, building, installing and maintaining next generation networks combined with AFL’s capability to provide copper and fibre technology services from the switch site to the customer premise, offers you, our valued customer, the highest standards of product and service quality.
- Will this change the way I contact TCC and my account manager?
No, TCC account managers and contact numbers will remain the same, email addresses will be changing to name@tcc-ltd.com but don’t worry, old email addresses will still get through.
- Will this change affect my current projects?
Not at all. Any current projects will be carried out as agreed prior to the acquisition
- What additional products/services will TCC be able to offer in the future?
TCC will provide the same highest standards of service whilst providing direct access to AFL’s global portfolio of fibre optic products and services. For more information about TCC and AFL products, contact mailto:info@tcc-ltd.com
- How big is the Group?
Big enough to make a difference. We're a secure, well established, £10 million turnover company and we employ 140 people currently in the UK, but watch this space as we're growing all the time.
- Does everyone have training?
Everyone has an in-depth induction course to get them acclimatised. We also believe that all our people can benefit from CPD (Continuous Professional Development) as a better qualified team makes us a better business. Everyone’s training needs are identified against job specifications by field supervisors and discussed, reviewed and actioned with managers as appropriate. Formal training reviews are carried out as part of our management framework.
- How important is Health & Safety?
The health and safety of our employees and the people who come into contact with what we do is of paramount importance to us. Safety and safe behaviour are vital to what we do and as we operate within the wider community it underpins all our work in the field. We have an experienced Health & Safety Manager who is responsible for the maintenance and continual improvement of the industry standard OSHAS 18001. All employees receive standard Health & Safety training.
- How do you keep an eye on standards and compliance when your team is working in the field?
We provide fully accredited engineers to work unsupervised on customer operational sites and networks. We review all specifications at tender stage and everyone on the project will be given a detailed project pack. Field documentation is sent to our Operations Department for updating via 3G laptops and As-builts are then forwarded as soon as to the client.
We provide real-time engineering resource tracking as part of our work force management.
- What do you do to ensure that you limit negative impact on the landscape?
We take our corporate and social responsibilities very seriously and are always sensitive to the impact our projects may have on the environment. We are accredited to ISO 14001 and have a qualified Environmental Manager in place. We work with the necessary authorities and advisory bodies to ensure that we minimize impact and inconvenience on our site work (especially for street work installations where traffic management is an issue) and that we return the site to an ‘as new’.
